I have worked with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students for approximately 16 years. I've worked 4 years with grades K-12 as an Itinerant Deaf and Hard of Hearing teacher in the Riverside, California area where I'm from. After moving to Georgia in 2006, I worked at an elementary school for one year as a second grade Deaf and Hard of Hearing teacher. In 2007 I became a business entrepreneur and started an online business. Since then, I've worked as a substitute teacher, and have had several long term positions. My most recent job working in the education field is as a Sign Language Interpreter from 2013-2015 in the Birmingham Alabama school district. I also volunteer as a Sign Language Interpreter at my local church. I love working with children because I love seeing them blossom and become self confident students! I especially enjoy working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students because I have a 28 year old son who is Deaf, so I know some of the challenges that face hearing impaired students. I am fun loving but, serious when it comes to learning. I look forward to tutoring you and helping you achieve your educational goals.
I have a B.A. degree in Communication Disorders, several years of professional and personal experience.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you, and you getting to know me, and helping you achieve any educational challenge you may have!
