Hello my name is Jonathan, I am a Chemical Engineer. I received Master's from Northeastern University, and Bachelor's from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Additionally, I have an Engineering Leadership Certificate from the Gordon Institute of Engineering Leadership. I bring 11 years of professional experience in biotech and pharma where math and chemistry aren't just academic subjects — they're the foundation of everything I do daily.

I specialize in mathematics and chemistry from elementary through college level including Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, AP Chemistry, and College Chemistry.

My approach is simple. I don't just give you the answer. I help you understand how to think through the problem. Once you understand the logic behind it you can solve anything.

Whether you're struggling with fundamentals or preparing for a big exam — I'll meet you where you are and get you where you need to be.

Approved Subjects

ACT Math

ACT Math

I took the ACTs twice and the section I had my best success in was in math. I also took courses like algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and trigonometry in high school; Developed an understanding of the ACTs material.
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

Took Algebra 1 freshman year of high school; one of my favorite courses. In Algebra one, you have solve for the unknown variable in the equation. For example 80= 5x +20, where x would equal 12.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

Took algebra 2 junior year of high school. Algebra 2 is more advanced than algebra 1, but the problems are still similar.
Biology

Biology

Taken biology junior year of high school; biology is a science based on memorization. When I took biology, I had to determined a method to memorize the material.
Chemical Engineering

Chemical Engineering

I am a Chemical Engineering graduate. Core courses went in depth with integration and derivation of mathematical equations, understanding the theory and driving force behind the reaction. Main core classes are Material and Energy Balances, Thermodynamics, Separations with Mass Transfer, Heat Transfer, Chemical Reactions, and Process Dynamic & Controls.
Geometry

Geometry

Taken geometry in my sophomore year of high school. In geometry, use the given information to solve the unknown variable (area, angle, and length) of given the shape.
Macroeconomics

Macroeconomics

Taken economics my senior year of high school and as a freshman in college. In economics, you learn how the business operates. The main focus were profit and efficiency.
Microeconomics

Microeconomics

Taken economics my senior year of high school and as a freshman in college. In economics, you learn how the business operates. The main focus were profit and efficiency.
Organic Chemistry

Organic Chemistry

I have taken Organic Chemistry in college. You have to determine the reaction of the organic compound by figuring out what type of compound it is. Organic chemistry heavily focuses on the drawing of carbon molecules and bonding energy.
Physical Science

Physical Science

Taken physical science in middle school and a little bit in high school. Physical science has a little of every science combined in one. Also tutor students in similar subjects like physics, chemistry and biology.
Physics

Physics

Taken physics in both freshman year of high school and college. Physics is the science that is based on mathematics and a little memorization. Have to know certain laws like Newton's law for example. Determine formula (s) required to solve the problem.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

Took prealgebra in middle. Prealgebra is just learning the proper problem solving technique before getting into algebra 1 & 2. For example, 20= 10-5 + x.
Precalculus

Precalculus

Taken precalculus a little in high school and calculus I freshman year of college. In precalculus, you solve problems by using derivatives. Also determine the domain, range, and asymptotes.
SAT Math

SAT Math

Have taken the SAT twice. Mathematics was the section I scored the highest out of the three. The mathematics section heavily focuses on algebra and geometry. Have to you certain problem solving techniques like process of elimination (since SAT are all multiple choice) to solve the problem.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

Have taken Trigonometry in my senior year of high school. In trigonometry requires you need to know how to interpret graph and finding the limits on the graphs.
Vocabulary

Vocabulary

Determine the best way to learn the vocabulary most preferably by flash cards. Quiz yourself until you get a 100 and feel comfortable with the material.
