Hi! My name is Imani. I graduated summa cum laude from Howard University with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a minor in math in 2022. I also recently completed my master's thesis in Chemistry and Biochemistry where I was a teacher’s assistant for a General Chemistry course for 5 quarters.
I have been tutoring math since middle school and chemistry since the beginning of my freshman year in college. I began tutoring math at church as a part of the Tutoring Ministry. I later tutored in high school as a part of a program called academic intervention where students who were failing two or more classes could receive help. Once I began undergrad, my Chemistry professor requested I tutor some of my classmates, and I was also paid by my University to tutor Chemistry and Math during my junior year during the pandemic.
I am also well-equipped to help students who need SAT Math help. I received a 790/800 on the math section of the SAT when I was in high school.
I want to help students who are struggling in Chemistry. My mom is a high school Chemistry teacher, so I see how some students struggle in a classroom setting and just need a little extra help.
