She uses her background in English education, political science, and the arts to design and support her tutoring and teaching pedagogy which is based on her personal application of Culturally Relevant Pedagogy (Ladson - Billings, 1995), as well as learning and curricular standards of the International Baccalaureate (IB) English Programme and Advance Placement.
