My career in education began early as a high school student-volunteer in the Johns Hopkins University summer literacy program. Decades later, education and student advocacy are still my passion. I went on to earn my Bachelor's in Spanish at Penn State and later my teaching certification from Metro RESA in Georgia. I am currently certified to teach Spanish, English, and Gifted students.

I began my classroom teaching career twenty years ago in public school. I've had the honor to teach elementary and middle school students Spanish and English. As a general education teacher I have had success with a wide range of student learning needs including special education and English language learners.
My success with students comes from creating an individualized and stimulating learning environment. I use mastery, creative, intrapersonal and understanding learning styles to engage students on all critical thinking levels.
