Hi! My name is Devki. I have tutored accounting in College, so I do have tutoring experience. Also, I love accounting especially financial accounting. I believe if I can be an accountant any one can. I also have experience with Tax and have worked with South Carolina Department of Revenue as an Auditor of Income Tax and Sales Taxes. During tax season we used to get a lot of calls from taxpayers trying to fill out forms on their own and we would help them figure out all the amounts and the tax credits they had to file. Sometimes they had all the information and sometimes they did not. Helping someone figure it out was always made me feel happy.
Tutors have helped me when i needed help, so I understand that sometimes its difficult to figure things out on your own and that is when you ask for help. It takes courage to ask for help, I just would like to help someone to the best of my abilities and would love the students to be honest if they don't understand something. I don't like to give up till I'm sure they understand what is involved and how we came to the answer we did. It's a team work that can make a big difference in someone's grades and I like to know that i did my best to help them.
My most fun experience is from My Intermediate accounting class. No one could understand what our accounting professor was writing on the board and most of the class was struggling because he had told us from day one that the only way to pass his class was to study in the groups. The unfortunate thing was we did not realize that he meant it until after the first test in the class. So, three girls from my class formed a study group and we will meet twice a week in one of the classrooms and figure out the problems together. What we did not expect was the group to grow to half of my accounting class. We all had different roles as different times which worked so well because we all figured out the problems together. If I did not know something someone else did and they helped us understand the information. It work
