I'm Elijah! I have around three years of experience with professional photography of all types, ranging from automotive to modeling. My photos were featured in the Alternative Space Gallery for the entire month of January, 2016. I graduated from high school in May of 2016, and I currently work at my old high school as their professional/yearbook photographer. I currently attend Austin Community College to get my basics done before I transfer to SCAD in Savannah, Georgia in early 2018 for modeling and fashion photography.
My current camera equipment includes a Canon 6D, Canon T5, Nikon FG (film camera from the 1980s), and a Bell and Howell video camera (1970s). I use the 6D as my main camera, and I use the T5 to test new equipment for outdoor shoots. My film cameras are more for display than anything else. However, I do use them for special occasions.
When I'm teaching photography, I like to get out and actually do hands on work with the camera. Sitting down in front of a white board can only get someone so far. In my sessions I teach the "rules" of photography (thirds, looking space, etc.), how to operate a camera in manual mode, and what lenses are best for what scenarios. While Canon is my main brand, I am able to efficiently operate other brands. If needed, I can bring my T5 with me for lessons.
I'm very passionate about photography, and I love teaching it to people. It's such a beautiful way to display a message or just create a beautiful image to hang on your wall. I'm always with my phone, so my responses should very rarely take long. If you have any other questions or want to schedule a lesson, please contact me!
