I love teaching students how to become better writers! I have a bachelor's degree in English Writing and a master's degree in Secondary English Education. I have tutored in the student writing center at Clayton State University during my undergraduate studies. I have been a student teacher during my graduate program. I love teaching. Learning can be difficult, but it is the most rewarding thing you can do for yourself. I was published in my undergraduate college literary magazine, have published poetry, and was invited to Sigma Tao Delta English Literary Society in 2011.
The subjects that I tutor are English writing, proofreading, vocabulary, reading skills, and history. I have passed the GACE tests for Middle Grades Language Arts, Middle Grades Social Sciences, and Secondary English Tests 1 &2. My teaching certification is currently in process. My tutoring depends upon open communication between myself, the student, and parents so that we can achieve the goals that we are striving to reach. I am flexible with my hours and can make a schedule that will fit everybody. I schedule appointments on a first come, first serve basis. I am also willing to create a regular tutoring schedule one month at a time, whether you need one lesson now or one lesson per week. I do ask to be notified at least two hours in advance if the lesson is going to be cancelled. The location of the lessons vary depending upon the needs of the student. However, I do ask that the first meeting be made somewhere public, such as the county library. This is a safety issue. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you.
