In addition to teaching, I have a studio in Savannah where I practice watercolor painting and illumination.

Prior to my MFA, I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. In high school, I graduated valedictorian of my class and was able to receive many different scholarships for academics and leadership. My education has been as an artist, but I thrive in multi-discipline environments. Throughout my time in college, I was a peer tutor, a peer academic coach, and a reading partner for elementary students.

My specialized areas include fine art, illustration, graphics, theatrical makeup, drawing, painting, editing, and other forms of visual art. I also tutor ACT English and Reading.

I am an illustrator with a Bachelor's degree in the field and am working on a Master's right now. I am hoping to be an art professor in the future. In addition to drawing, I also enjoy painting, theatrical makeup, and photography. All of these feed into my craft and story-telling work.
Painting,

Painting

I thoroughly enjoy painting and studying paintings. My education was in illustration and I hope to teach at the university level. I continue to practice en plein air and studies of the figure on a regular level. My painting is incorporated in my illustrations and drawings.

Swimming

Swimming

I was a competitive swimmer for ten years, including four years of varsity high school swimming. I got the school record in the 500 freestyle and a summer swim record in the 100 free. I was a lifeguard for one summer. My parents have both coached swimming for decades and I have gotten a lot of experience assisting them, mostly working with individual swimmers on technique.
