“**Great Tutor!**”

I first began tutoring in high school for a program at my church. I enjoyed helping others solve problems and develop techniques to remember concepts or turn hard problems into easy problems. I believe that repetition and learning concepts is the key to learning any subject. That is my teaching strategy. I help my student understand why each step

Major is helping my son with Algebra 1. He is very kind and patient and my son feels confident Major can help him understand the concepts and excel in the course.

I haven't had a math class in years so getting refreshed on everything is a big relief. Major has helped me find out quicker and more efficient methods to my math problems. I look forward to more tutor sessions.

Major is tutoring me with GRE subjects. He is very patient and breaks everything down for me understand. We have had 2 sessions and I am feeling really good about my progress. Looking forward to reaching my goal with his help!

Major is a joy to work with. He is very flexible to our schedule and his knowledge is beyond compare.

Major clarified the subject for me. He taught me, "easy to remember" shortcuts. Explaining why certain methods were used and the correct way to use them. Very very patient and super knowledgeable. He wants to make sure you understand the subject. I'm very hopeful of me passing my chemistry class. I will definitely call on him in the near future!

Major is excellent. I like going to sessions with him and he shows me shortcuts to answering my questions in preparation for my SAT exam. He is easy to understand and very knowledgeable. I did not know how many areas I needed help in until I started doing assessments with him. I am excited about working with him each week when school reopens.

Major is helping me with SAT prep and geometry in particular. He makes these topics very easy to understand.

Major was very patient with my son. He explains things in a way that is not intimidating for the student. Very happy with him and his method.

Daughter continues to look forward to sessions with Major as she claims that he can explain things so that it 'makes sense'. He appears to be extremely patient with her.

Major has been quick to respond each time that I have reached out to him. He takes his time to ensure my son understands the steps that are involved in solving each problem. My son has received a 95 on his quiz and an 86 on his test; much better results than what we have seen before his help!

I am in the military and am required to attain a certain GRE score in order to progress to the next level in my career. I was concerned that my math score wouldn't be high enough, having been out of college for 10 years!

Because of Major's help I was able to achieve my desired math score on the first try. His strategy was excellent: he assessed my skills; reviewed the fundamentals of arithmetic, geometry, algebra, and data analysis; and helped me work through realistic problem sets that came from the top-rated GRE preparation books in order to thoroughly prepare me for the exam.

Major was the best tutor I have ever worked with. He is intelligent, patient, and has a gift for explaining otherwise complex problems clearly. I highly recommend Major Smith to anyone interested in either improving their test scores, or simply re-learning tough academic subjects.

Three weeks ago, I received a call that my daughter was not doing well in school. I contacted Major and he was willing to tutor her four times a week. He is extremely patient with her and explains things on her level (she has some minor learning issues).

In three weeks time, her grades had improved dramatically. Over time, they have improved even more. Now that is progress.

Thank you Major! The confidence my daughter is gaining is worth every penny spent.

Major is excellent in math. I really needed help in one of my weakest subjects and Major came through. Very patient and extremely intelligent. Pleasant to be around and breaks down what appears to be complex math to just plain simple. Thank you again Major!!!

This young man is very gifted when it comes to understanding and practical application in the world of mathematics. He can teach from the basic levels of algebra in addition to some of the more advanced algebraic/ mathematical equations. This tutor was very engaged and kept me on track with all course objectives as well as course assignments. He provided tutor course work with many examples, standard rules of logic and application pertaining to specific types of equations and algebraic expressions, and finally practical exercises of the math problems I would encounter during my course study to better help me understand my assignments. Some of the course work in my curriculum (college level) included basic college pre-algebra to more advanced levels such as algorithmic concepts and relations to functions, graph theory and trees, logic Boolean Logic, just to name a few. He truly has a genuine passion for helping other students like myself succeed and make it to the next level. He can also assist in the most basic level of math as well, not only the advanced. If you are in need of a tutor to help you better understand the concepts of math at all levels, this should be the person you contact and schedule an appointment with immediately. This tutor does it all. Please call him and schedule an appointment ASAP!!!

I've been out of school for quite some time and my math skills were not always "top notch". So, in my efforts to prepare for the GRE, I decided hiring a GRE Math tutor was in my best interest. I was very fortunate to have Major as my tutor because of his patience, knowledge and passion toward helping students learn. Major was extremely instrumental in increasing not only my knowledge of GRE math concepts, but also my overall confidence in approaching each problem. After working with Major, I was able to obtain a much better understanding of math concepts that I had either forgotten and/or had difficulty with in the past. Major's teaching techniques and strategies helped build my confidence and my outlook toward math. Anyone who has the desire to improve and excel their GRE Math skills, I highly recommend Major.

I used Major S. last month to help my daughter with her Math. He really had a lot of patience and most of all I liked the fact the he was so eager to help me when I contacted him. I would definitely use his services again and recommend him to others. Thank You!

Major has been an excellent tutor who has helped and guided me through a course that was very difficult for me. But once we begin our lessons he talked to me to see what I knew and from there created great reviews for me along with practice tests. He is an excellent teacher who is in great in Math and reading comprehension.

My son had his first lesson with Major. Major was very patient and kept my son at ease. For the first lesson he gave my son a quiz and made notes while he watched him work. Major seemed to quickly identify the areas that needed to be addressed and he also sent my son home with note cards and homework to reinforce his weak areas. So far, so good!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ACT Math is a 60 question 60 minute test. It has pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and data analysis. I can help assist with all concepts tested and even techniques to eliminate wrong answers.

Throughout my studies I have taken and tutored algebra 1, algebra 2, pre-calculus, and calculus. I received an A in each class.

Algebra 1 is the introduction to working with quantities that can vary or are unknown. In this area of study we learn to manipulate variables and algebraic expressions. I can help make any concept or process associated with algebra 1 easier to understand.

Throughout my studies I have taken and tutored algebra 1, algebra 2, pre-calculus, and calculus. I received an A in each class.

Algebra 2 contains more advanced concepts of algebra. I can help make any concept or process associated with algebra 2 easier to understand.

Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery is a series of questions designed to determine the skill set and potential ability of performance in certain military jobs. As a previous Naval Officer I have had the opportunity to help other individuals achieve scores for entry into service as well as the scores they needed to qualify for the job they wanted.

I have been playing chess for 16 years. I was a member of the Georgia Tech chess team in 2008-2009 where we won the Georgia Collegiate Chess Tournament. I love chess and I love to teach it.

I took a Differential Equations class in college and received an A. Differential equations that have derivatives in them and our goal is to find the original function. We need to understand the calculus concept of integration in order to accurately solve a differential equation. First, the student must be able to understand what type of differential equation it is because each type requires different methods to solve it. I help the student understand the different types of differential equations and the methods we can use to solve them.

I have been tutoring K-6th students for over 2 years. I am patient and I use games and interactive techniques to make learning fun as well as effective. In K-6th, students are still learning the fundamentals which is key to understanding future concepts, so I believe that this is an extremely important time in their education.

Geometry covers a wealth of topics relating to algebra, logic, and spatial understanding. I can help make any concept in Geometry easier to understand.

SAT Math consists of 54 questions in 3 sections. Test questions cover the application of basic math concepts, algebra, geometry, and data analysis. I can make sure you know, understand, and can apply every math concept tested by the SAT. I can also show you tips to solve the problems faster and to eliminate wrong answers.

Studying is an important part of the learning process. I have been helping others study/understand information better for over 10 years. It is not enough to just get the information. I have taken courses for a Master's in Education in which I learned about the different ways people learn and I use that information to help others process and absorb information at a faster and more efficient rate than they were before.
