Bio

I am currently a resident of Savannah, GA and work as a GIS Analyst for the City of Savannah Government. I am very excited to help others learn in this growing field. My passion for geography and maps began at a very young age when I received a leapfrog explorer globe from Christmas. Eventually, Bing and Google Maps further increased my interest. I am currently a resident of Savannah, GA and work as a GIS Analyst for the City of Savannah Government. I am very excited to help others learn in this growing field. My passion for geography and maps began at a very young age when I received a leapfrog explorer globe from Christmas. Eventually, Bing and Google Maps further increased my interest. Prior to my current GIS analyst position, I worked as a graduate research assistant, where I used GIS heavily to collect hydrologic data on mountain bike trails. Before that I worked as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Tennessee, where I graded GIS assignments and assisted students with GIs assignments. In November of 2023, I published for the first time in Remote Sensing Applications: Society and Environment, where I studied remote sensing methods to detect hydrologic impacts of mountain bike trails. I have heavy knowledge in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, including the construction of web apps in ArcGIS Online.

I hold a bachelor of science in geography, which included study in multiple human and physical geography courses. I studied heavily in the multiple aspects that shape geography including culture, politics, identity, religion, landscape patterns, and atmospheric patterns.

GIS

I have over six years of experience using ESRI products. I have heavy knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online including the design of web apps in ArcGIS Online using experience builder, instant apps, and story maps. In ArcGIS Pro, I know how to create maps, create data, use tools, and construct some models. I am also published in a remote sensing journal, where I also used GIS heavily, particularly with the collection and further analysis of the collected GIS data.
