I am currently an undergraduate student at Savannah State University pursuing my B.S. in Marine Sciences, and using my educational and professional experience I strive to help students reach their academic and personal goals. I have worked with K-12 and college students in various subjects, and in one-on-one and large group settings. I worked directly with elementary and middle school students during my internship with the CEISMC (Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing) program at Georgia Institute of Technology, my key role consisting of developing and executing programs that offer K-12 students hands-on, engaging STEAM enrichment and outreach. As an intern with the University of Georgia Marine Extension and GA Sea Grant Aquarium, I identified new, effective methods of engaging and informing people of various ages and backgrounds about the significance of environmental conservation and the relationships between communities and the coastal Georgia ecosystems.
My area of focus includes K-12 biology and chemistry, natural sciences, and marine sciences; however, I enjoy the fields of psychology, ELA, and essay writing and would be happy to assist in any of those areas!
