About Madalyn

Bio

I currently teach Biology part time at Walton High School and work as a science tutor in the evenings. I enjoy the wonder and discovery that comes with science. While I love my classroom teaching job, I find it even more rewarding to work one-on-one with students.

I have had an interest in science for a long as I can remember, but that does not mean it always came easily. Over my years of studying and teaching, I have collected an assortment of tips and techniques for more fun and effective...

Though I am most familiar with the newest curriculum standards for high school Biology, I have also taught and enjoy tutoring Chemistry, Introductory Physics, Earth Systems, and Earth Science. Additionally, I have experience with middle school science and understand which skills students need to be successful as they become high schoolers.

Madalyn is a certified Georgia science educator with a certificate in gifted education. She taught science courses for Cobb County Schools at both Harrison High School and Walton High School from 2013-2020. She has since been tutoring Biology. Madalyn enjoys sharing with students the wonder and curiosity about the natural world that drew her to the sciences while using various methods to support learners in achieving their academic goals.
