I am a scientist at heart, but incorporate a wide range of experiences and interests (e.g., foreign languages, sports) to make learning accessible and applicable to everyday life. I have tutored students over the past fifteen years to prepare students for middle/high school and undergraduate courses including psychology, neuroscience, German, and public health. While I typically tutor students individually, I have also facilitated groups, particularly to build confidence in tough subject matter and brainstorm new approaches.
I leverage an extensive interdisciplinary background in neuroscience, clinical research and technical writing to address complex public health challenges. I hold a Master of Public Health from the Milken Institute School of Public Health at The George Washington University (2022) and a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University (2016).
I prefer to tutor in a conversational style. I want to help you look at subjects from different angles, and build your understanding naturally. I also like to bring in real-world examples whenever possible, since I want the material to be useful to you outside of the classroom. That way, you'll build skills to expand knowledge on your own whenever future challenges come up. We've all been there!
I look forward to learning about your interests, strengths, and how to best help you master your desired subjects.
