I recently graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia. I currently have my Bachelor's degree in Entertainment and Media Studies. I also have a minor in Film Studies and a certificate in News Literacy. Throughout my time in college, I wrote numerous short film screenplays, plays, film analysis essays, and film reviews. Along with writing many scripts, I also directed and worked on a number of films. I have worked on student sets for short films and have also worked on large scale film sets for companies such as Marvel and Paramount. Most recently, I completed a study abroad program where I got to attend the Cannes Film Festival. Through this program, I attended numerous festival events, such as screenings and Q&A's. During the festival, I wrote a number of film reviews about the films I saw at the festival. I reviewed feedback from experienced screenwriters and producers in the industry and implemented it into my work.

After gaining first hand experience into how the film industry works, I would like to mentor and tutor students who are interested in film. I can help students in a number of ways such as taking the first step in creating their own short film and guiding them throughout the process, brainstorming for creative writing, teaching students about film analysis or film reviewing and giving them guidance on writing essays, providing feedback for film school admissions, etc. I would like to help students not only develop their taste, but also establish a deeper connection to film and how it can relate to the real world.

If I sound like a good match for you, please reach out!

Creative Writing

Creative Writing

I have a strong background in creative writing. I took multiple college level writing classes which include: Writing for Entertainment Media, Basic Dramatic Writing, Dramatic Writing 1, Writing for Television, and Screenwriting. I also took many other Film and English classes which required me to do creative writing. Through this training, I developed strong skills in storytelling, character development, dialogue, structure, and writing for different formats such as screenplays. I enjoy helping writers brainstorm, strengthen their voice, and refine their ideas. Throughout my time in college, I have provided my peers with extensive feedback on their stories and scripts and was able to help them polish their work.
Fiction Writing

Fiction Writing

During my time in college, I took a number of writing classes which include: Writing for Entertainment Media, Basic Dramatic Writing, Dramatic Writing 1, Writing for Television, and Screenwriting. I also took many other film classes which required me to do fiction writing. After becoming quite skilled in fiction writing, I've found that the best storytelling comes from within. It's best to write what you know. I like to gravitate towards brainstorming activities which allow me to reflect deeply so I can place all that emotion into my storytelling. Even if the story I am trying to write has a more comedic tone, these exercises still help me with making my writing authentic and true to myself. Prior to this, I've spent quite a bit of time helping my peers with their writing. I've also interned at an acting studio in Atlanta where young acting students would ask me for advice on their own writing. I would like to help students brainstorm, write character studies, etc. I would also like to help students develop emotionally driven stories even if their genre of interest isn't necessarily drama.
Film

Film

During my time in college, I took a number of film classes which taught me about every aspect of film from analysis to writing to production. Some relevant coursework includes: International Entertainment Media, Screenwriting, Directing, Entertainment Media Analysis, Cinematography, Animation. I have had numerous different roles on set which include Director, Director of Photography/Cinematographer, Script Supervisor, etc. I have worked on many student sets and have also worked on larger film sets for movies such as Spider-Man: No Way Home and shows such as Tulsa King.
Video Production

Video Production

During my time in college, I took a number of film classes which taught me about every aspect of film from analysis to writing to production. Some relevant coursework includes: International Entertainment Media, Screenwriting, Directing, Entertainment Media Analysis, Cinematography, Animation. I have had numerous different roles on set which include Director, Director of Photography/Cinematographer, Script Supervisor, etc. I have worked on many student sets and have also worked on larger film sets for movies such as Spider-Man: No Way Home and shows such as Tulsa King. Because of this, I have learned the ins and outs of video production. I have also interned at Catapult Acting Studio in Atlanta where I helped produce short films. At this studio, I worked with kids who are interested in film. Many of them wanted to assist in the filmmaking process and I was able to teach and show them how to do certain roles in production, such as how to be a boom operator and how to slate. Many also had questions about film and I had many discussions with them and they were able to learn more about the film industry.
