Excellent tutor - thorough, organized and great with kids
Our son has a mild dyslexia and we were researching how to best address and assess his needs. We connected with Shawnie and were very impressed. She explained her strategy, lesson plan ideas, her method of engaging with kids that have ADHD or are opposed to 'help' etc. She was very warm, welcoming, eased our son's apprehension and very communicative. While we may not need her expertise as much as we thought as he did surprise the both of us, we would highly recommend her. Happy to answer any other questions as well.

Shawnie is trained in the Wilson Reading System and she has helped my daughter, who is 12, over the past several weeks continue to make progress in her reading and spelling despite my daughter's severe dyslexia. Shawnie is kind and makes my daughter feel comfortable and at ease while she is learning. I am especially happy about my daughter being able to be tutored during after school hours once a week as our previous on-line tutor insisted she skip school for her weekly lesson. I highly recommend Shawnie to anyone struggling with dyslexia.
