I have been told by several people that I make math easy and enjoyable (I'm not kidding). The two things I love most are math and teaching. Let me help you succeed in your math class (and maybe even enjoy it in the process).

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I have been tutoring students in Algebra 1 ever since I took Algebra 1 in 8th grade (almost 20 years ago). I also taught high school math in Georgia for 5 years before my husband and I moved to Michigan, where I taught algebra at a community college. For the last 3 years, I have also tutored many algebra students in an online setting. As much as I enjoyed teaching in the classroom, I really prefer individual and small group tutoring, since it allows me to cater more to the student's needs, which almost always results in greater success for the student.

Geometry,

Geometry

I’ve tutored students in geometry since I was a student in high school (more than 20 years ago). I’ve also been a geometry teacher at both public and private high schools. Geometry can be tricky for a lot of students because it’s a lot more spatial and logic-based than algebra is. I love helping them figure out how to “see” something that didn’t make sense before!

Prealgebra

Kristin is a knowledgeable and patient tutor who really cares about her students.

Kristin has been helping our son with algebra 2. She is very flexible with her schedule when we have to abruptly change it. She is encouraging and gives extra practice sheets and offers assistance prior to a test. She is kind and friendly in addition to being knowledgable in algebra. Highly recommend!

She LOVES it!

The feedback Bethany gave me was that she absolutely loves the patience that Kristen shows because she tries very very hard to make sure Bethany understands. Bethany appreciates that so much. And it does seem that she understands the topics. We'll see how the quizzes go!

Good result

My daughter met with Ms Kristin and reported that she really liked the session. "Kristin was patient and didn't get caught up in words I don't know so I could just get what I'm supposed to do," Bethany said.
