I am a dedicated, state-certified educator with extensive experience teaching upper-elementary, secondary STEM, and adult learners. I have a bachelor's degree in engineering, a master's degree in middle grades education, and an educational specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I currently teach 5th grade social studies and have previously taught 5th-grade science, 5th-grade math, 9-12 engineering technology, a college technology course, and adult education. I tutor math and ELA after school for 5th -7th grades. I have taught at the 5th-grade level for five years; I previously taught high school for 9 years, and college (both in-person and online part-time) for 18 years.

My primary passion lies in supporting students during the critical upper-elementary and middle school years (grades 4–8). I specialize in comprehensive, all-subject academic support—including Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies—helping students build strong foundational skills, boost confidence, and master complex concepts. I tailor my tutoring approach to each student’s unique learning style. Whether a student needs targeted practice to catch up, strategies to strengthen executive functioning and study habits, or enrichment to stay ahead, I design engaging, step-by-step lessons that make learning accessible and rewarding. With experience across diverse age groups and subjects, I break down challenging middle-school curriculum into manageable, easy-to-understand concepts.
