History Shouldn’t Be a Mystery! I am a tutor and classroom professor/teacher with 21 years of experience in the field of history. While history was certainly my favorite subject in school, I realize that not every student feels the same. I believe this is often because of the amount of content that can seem overwhelming and often boring for today’s students. My approach is to make the content relatable and relevant to our world today, to show that history is a series of stories made by people just like you and me. This gives both a better understanding and connection for my students.
I have taught college courses in U.S. History, Western Civilization and Museum Studies. My high school classes include Modern World History, U.S. History and AP U.S. History. I have tutored students in Georgia History, U.S History, AP U.S. History, Modern World History, and in executive function techniques for school.
So come along on the journey with me to a better understanding of history and get all of the “tea” from the past!
