I am currently a fourth-year Engineering Technology student and have been tutoring college-level engineering students for over a year. During that time, I have worked with students in statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics, earning A’s in each of these courses myself. Most of the students I tutor are undergraduate engineering majors who are taking these courses for the first time and need help understanding how to properly set up and solve complex problems.

My tutoring experience includes both one-on-one sessions and small group tutoring, both through my campus tutoring organization. In sessions, I focus heavily on problem setup, drawing correct free-body diagrams or control volumes, and organizing equations before solving. I have found that many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because they are unsure how to start a problem. I work with them step by step so they can see the reasoning behind each step, rather than just memorizing formulas.
In addition to tutoring, I serve in a leadership role within our campus tutoring program. Through that position, I have completed training in instructional methods and student support strategies. This experience has helped me work effectively with students who may be dealing with low confidence, frustration, or difficulty staying organized in demanding engineering courses. My goal is to help students build both technical understanding and the independence needed to succeed in future classes.
