I have 17+ years of teaching experience. I have a specialist in Education with certifications in Early Childhood, Reading P-12, Gifted and Music. Throughout these years I have devoted several hours weekly towards tutoring students successfully in preparation for school assessments, standards mastery, end of grade assessments and standardized testing. Additionally, I have provided test prep strategies and testing strategies. Overall, I have demonstrated competencies in student preparation for a variety of needs.

I began my educational career in Music Education K-12. I transitioned into Early Childhood Education when I began to contemplate my career long-term. As a result, I decided to broaden my experiences. I continued to add additional certifications and endorsements. I achieved my Tier II Leadership Specialist in Education. I added a gifted endorsement. Furthermore, I recently added my Reading P-12 certification. I have received numerous of professional development courses/trainings studying the science of reading and curriculum mapping. Student preparation is definitely an area of expertise of mine.

I am a passionate instructor with experience in developing and implementing diverse curricula. I am highly skilled at motivating students through positive encouragement and reinforcement of concepts via interactive classroom instruction and observations.

I have substantial experience in helping students to progress academically while promoting independent learning and self-reliance. I assist students in improving English competency by integrating and applying effective study skills, active reading and note-taking skills, as well as test taking strategies.
