Coming from another culture helps me to appreciate the challenges that ESL students face. Even though English is my first language, I understand what it means to live in a culture so different from yours. My students and I immediately bonded over that shared experience and I was able to relate to them all, whether they came from Switzerland, India or Mexico.
Students learn best when they are relaxed and comfortable. I set my students at ease and they know they can learn in a non-judgmental, fun atmosphere. I am certified to teach English, French, Spanish, ESOL and I also have my gifted certification in addition to my early childhood certification.
