I obtained my bachelor degree with highest honors from Georgia Institute of Technology in biomedical engineering. During my time at Tech, I had been a teaching assistant for first year physics, a physics tutor for student athletes. While teaching and tutoring at GT, my style has been to focus on conceptual understanding first and then encourage students to solve practice questions in order to diagnose potential difficulties and misunderstandings.
I received 35 on ACT Math, and 800 on SAT Math. Besides, I self learned and received 5 on AP Calculus BC at age of 14. I dual enrolled at Georgia Institute of Technology during my junior and senior years of high school and graduated as Valedictorian from high school.
While I am capable in multiple subjects throughout the sciences, mathematics, and languages I feel the strongest connection to teaching physics, for both high school and College Intro Physics, and Mandarin Chinese, partly due to my many years' of experience in the subjects. I have native-level proficiency in standard German and Mandarin Chinese. I also did two-year graduate study in Taiwan and received the Master degree. Please contact me if you have any questions or want to schedule a session.
These are some example reviews I received from my students: "Luka explains everything and kept my son focused in a calm and encouraging way throughout the session. My son felt happy and liked the session. Thank you so much!" "This was the best lesson I have had so far. I am very impressed with his professionalism and having the curriculum I use ready. I am excited to continue learning. "
