Hi! I am an engineering consultant and testifying expert, specializing in forensics and applied mechanics. My favorite part of this job is when I get to teach my clients, and potential judges and jurors about the underlying physical and mathematical principles that help us understand the physical evidence left behind after an incident.
I currently serve on the Society of Experimental Mechanics Education Committee, where I help plan events and seminars for college students who attend the conference. I have written several peer-reviewed scientific articles, and presented at many technical conferences. I am passionate about the dissemination of fair and accurate knowledge.
Prior to my current work, I earned my B.S., M.S., and Ph.D in mechanical engineering, specializing in applied mechanics. While earning my Ph.D., I volunteered with the local community college to tutor students in math and physics. I also have experience working for Boeing, predicting the failure modes of commercial aircraft during bird strikes, and at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, prototyping a satellite for launch into low earth orbit.
