I have a lifelong passion for teaching and helping others build confidence through learning. I earned my degree from Valdosta State University, where I also worked as a math tutor for the Athletics Department, supporting college students one-on-one in algebra, calculus, and statistics. This experience gave me a strong foundation in adapting explanations to different learning styles and skill levels.
Professionally, I’ve spent nearly 30 years in IT, cybersecurity, and customer success, during which I’ve designed and delivered technical training programs for enterprise teams, IT staff, and end users. My approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into clear, practical steps that learners can immediately apply.
Outside the classroom, I’ve spent nearly 5 years teaching Gracie Jiu Jitsu, working with both children and adults. This has honed my patience, communication skills, and ability to adjust methods for different ages and abilities.
I love creating those “lightbulb moments” when something challenging finally clicks.
