Hi there, I’m Jordan! I’m a certified teacher passionate about helping students grow, gain confidence, and reach their fullest potential. Leaving with a 3.8 GPA, I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Deaf Education from Georgia State University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Studies, also focused on Deaf Education. My academic focus has been in reading instruction, and I bring both research-based strategies and a deep respect for each learner’s journey into every session.

Over the years, I’ve worked with students of all ages and abilities—including early elementary learners, students with learning differences, and those who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. I also have experience as a job coach, helping individuals with disabilities build life and vocational skills for greater independence and success. I am currently employed with Gwinnett County Public Schools as a Teacher of the Deaf.

One of my greatest passions is promoting Deaf awareness and supporting language equity. I strive to work closely with hearing families of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, helping them learn American Sign Language (ASL) to bridge communication gaps and prevent language deprivation. I believe every child deserves full access to language—whether spoken, signed, or both—and I strive to create inclusive learning spaces that honor each student’s identity and potential.

My teaching style is centered around patience, structure, and positivity. I use the “I do, we do, you do” approach to build strong foundational skills and guide students toward independence. Whether we’re working on reading fluency, self-advocacy, expressive language, or attention skills, I tailor every session to the needs of the learner.
