My experience as a tutor embraces teaching varied subjects in different settings: home school, private, college, public school, church-based, and online.
I am a graduate of Mary Baldwin College (Staunton, Virginia) with a BA in Art (Art History emphasis) and Regent University with an M.Ed. in Education. I am an alumna of Academy of Art University (with courses in Fine Art-non-figurative painting/color theory, Illustration clothed figured/fashion illustration, Fashion Design/Merchandising....). I have completed, among other, courses in Instructional Design with a concentration in online learning.
As an artist, I paint abstract paintings, create designs and illustrations for fabrics, apparels, and home decorations; and create art e-courses and publications. For years, my passion has been drawing and my choice medium was graphite pencil on paper. The making of abstract paintings has evolved through the study of art history and an interest in abstract patterns, colors, and designs found in nature. I love, among other things, to crochet, sew, weave, take pictures of nature, write, draw pencil portraits, and code as time allows.
As an artist educator, I provide Step by Step drawing and painting lessons for the beginner and basic information about drawing and abstract painting and artists. I created and published a mini-ebook/course titled “Painting with Acrylics” for the beginner painter and for individuals who desire to paint for fun or relaxation.
I am a lifelong learner continuing my studies in online learning and teaching, eLearning, art and art education, technology, teaching English online, instructional design, and so forth.
