Hello! I’m a former 2nd grade teacher with a big heart for helping kids learn, grow, and shine! With years of classroom experience, I’ve learned that learning works best when it’s fun, creative, and full of encouragement. I’m now bringing that same passion online, creating lessons that spark curiosity and build confidence.
As a teacher, I designed exciting, meaningful lessons tailored to each learner’s needs. Every child is unique, so I incorporated whole group, small group, 1:1, partner, and independent activities. I’m proud that every student I taught met or exceeded their reading and math goals by the end of each year!
My tutoring style is clear and supportive: I introduce topics in a fun, interactive way, provide focused instruction to deepen understanding, and allow time for independent practice with immediate feedback and encouragement. I adjust lessons to meet individual needs, always creating a safe space where it’s okay to make mistakes, ask questions, and try new things. We also love celebrating progress and milestones!
In our sessions, we’ll explore reading, writing, math, creativity, and all kinds of adventures that make learning exciting and memorable. Parent input is always welcome—I love teaming up to support your child’s strengths and goals! I’m easy to reach and always respond within 24 hours.
A little about me: I graduated from Piedmont College in Athens with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and certification in Gifted Education. I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Instructional Design and Technology. I taught 2nd grade for 5 wonderful years, plus 1 year of 5th grade. In July, I became a first-time mommy to my sweet baby girl, Aurora! Watching her grow has deepened my love for early learning and reminds me daily how important it is to nurture confidence, creativity, and curiosity from the start.
