Hello! My name is Hannah, and I’m an agriculture educator, lifelong learner, and passionate tutor who loves making subjects come alive for students. As an eighth-generation farmer and second-generation educator, I’ve spent my life surrounded by both agriculture and teaching, which has given me a unique perspective on learning. I hold a degree in Agricultural Education and completed my student teaching with middle and high school students, where I taught courses in animal science, horticulture, agricultural history, and leadership. In the classroom, I learned how to adapt lessons to different learning styles, break down complex ideas into simple steps, and create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging with the material.
My experience extends beyond the classroom into hands-on agriculture, including working with livestock, crop production, and agricultural outreach programs. This background allows me to connect science concepts, especially biology, to real-world examples that make learning relevant and memorable. I also have a deep love for literature and writing, from analyzing novels and poetry to guiding students in essay structure and creative expression. I believe that strong communication skills are just as valuable as scientific knowledge, and I strive to help students develop both.
When I tutor, my goal is to meet students where they are and help them reach their fullest potential. I take time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning style so I can tailor my approach. I believe every student has unique talents, and with the right guidance and encouragement, they can master any subject they set their mind to. Whether you need help understanding a biology concept, refining your writing, or preparing for an agricultural competition, I will make the process engaging, clear, and even a little fun. If you come prepared with your goals and materials, I’ll be ready to guide you every step of the way!
