As an artist and media professional, I am fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and other softwares. I work with students from community colleges through renowned art schools such as Parsons in New York City and professional artists.

I also work with high school and college students who struggle with executive dysfunction. This can lead to academic problems and increased anxiety if one gets behind on coursework.

I am have my Masters Degree in Adolescent Education. I left K-12 teaching and have been teaching on the college level for the last 7+ years. I recently relocated to the Atlanta metro area and am available for sessions locally or online. Due to Covid-19, I am strongly encouraging online lessons.

In addition, we've been doing various 20th century literature projects and connecting them to events in history.

Good teacher.

Larissa helped me get started on Lightroom Classic. I had been having trouble getting started but Larissa helped me navigate the platform and set me up with some practice homework to reinforce what I learnt. Looking forward to our next meeting.

Very knowledgeable

Larissa was very patient and explains things in very easy to follow way. I learned more from her in an hour than I did at school in a month. She also worked with my schedule and will definitely be seeking her help in the future.

An eye-opening experience

I needed to create a photography portfolio to submit as part of an employment application. For several years photography has been more of a personal hobby for me. The need to raise the quality of my photos led me to "discover" Wyzant while surfing the internet. Before my first meeting with Larissa I had chosen some images to share. Larissa picked a few of these that would look better, then asked to see more of my photo collection -- she picked a few others and got me to see issues with contrast, focus and distractions. She showed me how to use the healing brush and how to adjust layers to fix some of these problems. I learned so much; I wound up using her services on four separate days. I learned about brush sizes to mask and edit, how to adjust color, texture and image size. She showed me how to create a PDF of my portfolio, and a slide presentation. I learned to use Lightroom to import and edit images and create a gallery with keywords to help me manage and later search for items. Larissa has an easy way of explaining new information and got me to practice, on my own, several features new to me. Of course she guided my way. I liked her courteous and reassuring style -- it made me feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend her.

Excellent Art History Tutor

Larissa is very knowledgeable about art history; and provided a unique perspective on Abstract Art that I would never find in a textbook. I highly recommend Larissa as an Art History Tutor!

Excellent Personality and Tutor

Larissa was on-time for my daughters first SAT tutoring session. She has a wonderful personality. My daughter really enjoyed her first session for Larissa. She loves her teaching technique and style. We plan to schedule additional tutoring sessions. I will update my feedback as we complete more tutoring session.
