I love working with people one-on-one. I have an arts background and have been in the high school and college classroom for nearly 10 years. I have formally trained in SAT (2018), ACT, GED/TASC tutoring as well as Common Core State Standards. Hi-
I love working with people one-on-one. I have an arts background and have been in the high school and college classroom for nearly 10 years. I am a NYS certified in English 7-12 teacher with a Masters Degree in Adolescent Education. I left K-12 teaching and have been teaching on the college level for the last 7+ years. I recently relocated to Ocean Springs, MS and am available for sessions locally or online.

An important note: I am an educator and teacher and those ethics shape my tutoring policies. I will function in this same manner in lessons with you or your child. I do not write papers/do assignments for students or do their homework for them. I give one on one guiding and individualized help just like a teacher or professor would but ultimately it's still the student's answers. If you're looking for someone to do assignments, I am the wrong fit for you or your child. However, if you're looking for someone to provide the right training and skills for one to succeed on his/her own, I am that fit.

It was working one on one with these clients that inspired me to become a teacher.

Excellent Tutor

Larissa was an extremely patient, thoughtful and thorough tutor. My son had some processing issues and she found ways to help him learn in his own way. She was always on time and very flexible. Larissa made a excellent tutor and anyone's family would be lucky to have her. I highly recommend her! She is sweet, intelligent and a wonderful gal.

Great Tutor!

Larissa was prompt and professional, and made herself available on short notice. My 10 year old son at first seemed hesitant to cooperate and be tutored, but a few minutes later, Larissa was able to capture his attention, and was able to get a lot out of him. After the tutoring session, my son felt good about his work. I have only used her once. However, we look forward to working with Larissa again.
