I earned my undergraduate degree from Emory University in Russian, where I also studied German. My background in language study gives me a strong understanding of grammar, sentence structure, and the challenges learners face when using another language.
While at Emory, I tutored adult ESL learners in one-on-one sessions, helping students practice conversational English, clarify grammar concepts, expand vocabulary, and strengthen reading comprehension. Working individually allowed me to adapt each lesson to each student’s goals, pace, and learning style.
My tutoring style is patient and focused on helping students understand how English works. Rather than simply correcting errors, I guide students to understand patterns behind English grammar so they can apply what they learn with confidence. I work with learners at all levels and tailor lessons to each student’s goals.
In our first lesson, we start with a short conversation to understand your goals and current level. From there, we focus on the areas that will help you most—grammar, conversation, or writing—so you can start seeing progress right away.
