My name is David and I am excited to announce that I will be offering supplemental educational services to the Middle Ga area in-person and virtually nationwide.
I was lucky enough to grow up in a community where the academics were up to standard. I was also extremely fortunate to serve as Faculty and Admissions Counselor for The Dinoff School for the Gifted & Performing Arts where I worked with the “academy” students teaching them skills to make them successful in a “gifted classroom”.
Our philosophy was that because children are sponges, they are what they are exposed to. If they are exposed to higher educational opportunities, taught skills identified in successful gifted students and allowed to express themselves through the arts, they will be on a higher frequency than those in their age range. These kids EXCELLED. We essentially “created” a “gifted” child.
Some highlights from teaching at the private school:
-Taught 3 year olds how to read
-My students tested an average of 2 grades ABOVE grade level. Pre-testing showed they were below 2 grades. That is a total of 4 years of academic growth in 1 year.
-Found my passion working with children.
I left early education and switched to corporate education and learned how to teach adults through Adult Learning Theory.
Now, I am switching gears back into early childhood education with at an Academy offering Preparatory and Supplemental Educational Services to Middle Georgia in-person and Nationally through Zoom. It has been calling my name for a long time and I am THRILLED to help your child learn and grow.
