I am currently an English and Writing tutor at Chattahoochee Technical College. In 2023, I graduated from KSU with a Master's in Professional Writing, with an ultimate goal to teach writing. Tutoring has given me tremendous insight into what students struggle with, and I'm grateful to have all this knowledge. When I become a professor, I feel I will be more prepared to shape the class in a way that benefits all students.
Recently, I was diagnosed with ADHD. Understanding how my brain works and how it's different from others has truly opened my eyes. It's made me more aware of how different students approach the same problem, and that these paths are often hard-wired. Working with them rather than fighting against them often leads to better success. If your student is neurodiverse, I feel I can help them approach the material in a way that suits them.
