I’m a certified teacher and Orton-Gillingham reading specialist who works primarily with students in grades K-6 who are below grade level in reading or struggling with phonics, fluency, and comprehension. Many of the students I support show signs of dyslexia, have an IEP, or simply haven’t been taught reading in a way that works for them. If your child is guessing words, avoiding reading, becoming frustrated, or losing confidence, you are not alone, and there is a clear path forward.

I provide structured, step-by-step instruction using research-based methods that help students master phonics and decoding, build reading fluency and accuracy, strengthen comprehension, and grow in confidence as readers. I also support homeschool families by creating consistent, effective literacy plans that meet each child where they are while moving them forward.

With years of experience in reading intervention, I’ve helped students make measurable progress through consistent, targeted instruction. For example, I’ve helped a 4th-grade student move from a 2nd-grade reading level to grade level in 12 weeks, and another student grow from the 18th percentile to the 72nd percentile in 16 weeks. These kinds of results come from a clear plan, not guesswork.

Every lesson I design is data-driven, structured, and interactive, so your child understands what they are learning and can see their own growth over time. I also provide clear communication so you can stay informed and confident in your child’s progress.

As a certified educator with advanced training in structured literacy, I explicitly teach phonics, decoding, fluency, and comprehension using a systematic and multisensory method. From the 18th to the 72nd Percentile—Thank You Ms. India!

Ms. India has been an incredible tutor for our 3rd grader, and we are so grateful for her! At the start of the school year, our daughter was at the 18th percentile on the STAR reading assessment, and she has now grown to the 72nd percentile! At the start of the year getting my daughter to read was a major battle, and she now keeps a book in her bed to read to herself at night! We believe that so much of this progress is due to Ms. India’s instruction and support! Ms. India uses research-based, well-sequenced instruction and carefully progress monitors to help ensure that kids are building skills step by step. She is patient, a strong communicator, and very easy to work with. She also provides thoughtful feedback and practical suggestions that have helped us support our daughter at home. We highly recommend Ms. India- she is incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated and has been instrumental to our daughter’s amazing growth this year- thank you!!
