Hello! My name is Miranda, and I believe learning should be fun, engaging, and filled with opportunities for growth! My goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen their academic skills, and discover the joy of learning.

I am currently completing my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Special Education at Western Governors University (WGU). I have successfully completed my academic coursework and clinical field experiences, with student teaching remaining as my final requirement before graduation.

Through my teacher preparation program, I have gained valuable hands-on experience in both general education and special education classrooms. I have worked with fourth-grade students in an elementary classroom and students in grades 6–8 in a middle school special education setting. My experience includes small-group instruction, individualized academic support, lesson planning, differentiated instruction, and assessing student progress.

I offer K–5 tutoring in reading, writing, and mathematics, including phonics, reading comprehension, grammar, foundational math skills, and problem-solving. My teaching approach incorporates hands-on activities, visual aids, explicit instruction, guided practice, and positive reinforcement. I adapt lessons to each student's individual strengths, abilities, and learning needs.

As a parent and aspiring educator, I understand the importance of patience, encouragement, and creating a welcoming environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

Although I am new to private tutoring, I bring meaningful classroom experience, specialized training in elementary and special education, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.

Let's learn, laugh, and grow together!
