I earned a Masters of Arts Degree in Teaching and a teaching certificate in education. It is my desire to work with children at the elementary school level, as I feel they’re still impressionable, fun to teach, and are nearing the point in their lives where important internal decisions are to be made.

I have worked as a Early childhood teacher for more than ten years and have tutored young children to give them a strong foundation. I implemented weekly lesson plans that strengthen the academic success of students focusing on their individual needs, interest, special talents, and pace of learning. I pride myself with having great communication skills and taking the time to learn each student I teach, along with their learning style, to instruct them effectively and help them grow. I feel it’s my duty to provide a fun learning experience to every student. It is my belief that every student has the ability to learn, the potential to succeed, and make a difference in the world. I want to benefit students as much as possible. Please be willing to arrive on time and practice. If tutorial service will not be needed please let me know at least 8 hours before the scheduled session.

I have sound knowledge of basic math, I’m engaging, and I do not force students to learn math.

I’m curious, detail oriented, enjoy investigating things and exploring to get understanding.

I’m genuine with understanding different cultures and I take the time to try to learn students individual needs.

I help beginning readers understand how letters and letter sounds are linked. I help them build confidence and apply their knowledge of letters and sound to recognize spelling patterns to apply it in their reading.
