I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mercer University. Currently, I am a third-year medical student. Simultaneously I am in the process of completing my Master of Science in Psychology with a Concentration in Health Psychology degree, Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Health Administration degree. In college, I realized that my fellow classmates would always gravitate towards me to help them better understand what the professor was saying. I remember having professors that went the extra mile to make sure that we understood the concept of what they were teaching. I always bring this approach into my teaching approach. I understand that everyone learns differently, and my teaching style is to adjust to each individual’s needs. I use lesson plans in which I usually introduce the topic in a fun and creative way, then explicitly teach the material. Afterward, I always ensure time for students to practice the material on their own. Of course, this method can be adjusted based on the subject and student’s individual needs.
I have over two years of teaching experience in an adult post-secondary classroom. I have also helped children in the neighborhood with their homework as well. With my students, I have always held an open-door policy and always made them feel comfortable enough that they can come to me with any concerns. Currently, I run a boot camp for Medical Assistants assisting them with passing their medical assistant certification test. In these sessions, I teach Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Medical Law & Ethics.
I want to help each student reach and excel in the goals they have set out for themselves. I am easy to reach and will always provide fast responses to my students. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!
