Tony was very knowledgeable in his field. Very friendly and easy to talk to; he did not waste any time and utilized every moment teaching. I would recommend him highly!!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
In terms of narrative animation production, I am perhaps one of the 10 most experienced, qualified Flash users in the world. I have logged thousands of hours creating animation in Flash and peripheral software.
I started using Flash at its inception in 1997 (when it was called FutureSplash - I still have the user guide), working with Disney and WB on web projects. I went on to help develop the early sound tools and worked closely with the software developers to explore new uses for the tools.
I was also Lead Animator on the first Flash Animation feature, developing production pipelines and rigging processes - many of which are still in use today at major studios.
I have produced animation for over 30 years, working with some of the biggest names in the biggest studios.
I started a world-renown Animation Studio (Flinch Studio, now MightyPants Media), where I produced some of the first web entertainment, for Adam Sandler, Tim Burton, and Gracie films. I've also worked on several productions for Feature Film and TV.
I've headed up animation projects for Disney, Fox, Warner Brothers and Sony, as well as numerous small studios and corporate clients. I'm experienced with hands-on management of every stage of production from writing & development, to casting & recording, through boards and production, to Post, FX and sound design.
I have been a filmmaker for 35 years - from Super8 films to modern all-digital productions. I've directed and/or produced over 100 short films, episodes, and commercials - for live action, animation, and hybrid productions. I've written and directed original entertainment content for Mark Cuban and other producers, and have co-developed properties for Adam Sandler, Tim Burton, and several of the major Hollywood studios.
In addition, I've spent hundreds of hours on feature film, TV and commercial sets, as FX supervisor, Art Director, and other roles, giving me a broad perspective on the big-budget production process.
My experience with Motion Graphics and Motion Design goes back to the early days of digital media production.
In addition to titles, logos and graphics for video, I've produced dozens of fully animated infographics and messaging videos for clients like HP, Chyron, GE, Vevo and many others.
I'm proficient with hybrid graphic & video production, incorporating several applications to achieve the right look, including After Effects, Flash, live action video and stills from photos, Photoshop and illustrator.
I've worked professionally in video production for over 25 years.
I started in the pre-digital age, with early hand-held video and massive editing & FX systems for post production. I was among the first to learn and master nonlinear digital editing, and helped to develop some of the graphics & animation tools that are now industry standard.
My current production setup allows me the versatility to shoot video on location or over green-screen, and produce special FX and animation and handle TV-quality sound design. My clients have ranged from WB, Fox and Disney to Microsoft, HP and Pepsi.
In addition to my professional portfolio, I write, direct and produce low-to-moderate-budget films across multiple media, working with crews of varying size and skill sets, and handling post production, FX and sound in my home studio.
