I am a Greek native and was born in Germany to Greek parents. My primary education (K-12) took place at Greek schools in Greece where I mostly grew up. Before arriving to the U.S. I lived in Germany for approximately 10 years. After working as a flight attendant and translator on international flights in the airline business for 9 years, I decided to switch careers and went back to school.

Ever since I graduated college in the U.S., I have been working as a foreign language instructor for Greek and German at private language institutes and I have also been conducting private tutoring in both languages since 2008. Additionally, I hold a masters degree in German Literature and have been formally teaching German at two U.S. colleges since 2010. I have also worked as a tutor at a local university while I was pursuing my degree. I have applied the general foreign language teaching skills and experiences I have acquired through my courses of study as well as my teaching German as a second language into teaching Greek as well.
I am a career teacher raised overseas in Greece and Germany. Having lived in Europe the first two decades of my life, and after pursuing an advance degree in German literature at a local university, I am now teaching German in the U.S.. In my work as a foreign language instructor and tutor I have discovered many high school /college people and beyond are either currently studying or wanting to improve their German, something I am great at assisting with. I also work with retired people who want to improve their German for travel in German speaking countries as well as children who want to learn a second language.

My methods vary between a more practical and conversational approach or academic, depending upon the specific needs of the client. We can focus on German or Greek for particular purposes and topics.
