As an Emory graduate, I have been exposed to a number of subjects and academic fields, including World History, Classics, Mathematics, and Accounting.
My goal with any student I tutor is to make sure they not only understand the material, they know how and when to use it, and why it is relevant. I try to follow along the lines of what a student's teacher has taught and reinforce the material. I also understand that not all subjects are the same and thus can not be learned the same way. What works for one class, may not work for another. I do expect the student to have the class textbook (or other materials) so I can get an idea of what a student has learned or is going to learn and what examples to use.
