I hold a Master of Arts in Divinity with a specialization in philosophy of religion and classical thought, and I bring that graduate-level depth to every tutoring session — but my real gift is making complex ideas feel alive and accessible. Whether we're working through the arguments of Plato, untangling the causes of a world war, or wrestling with an ethics paper due tomorrow, I approach every subject as a story waiting to be told. Ideas land differently when they have context, stakes, and meaning behind them.
My background spans philosophy, religious studies, world history, and the humanities broadly. I also hold a graduate degree in clinical counseling, which means I'm attuned to how people learn, where they get stuck, and how to meet them where they are without judgment or frustration. I've spent years helping people navigate difficult material — academic and otherwise — and I bring that same patience and presence to tutoring.
I work best with high school and undergraduate students who feel lost in the material or just need someone to help them think it through clearly. Before each session I make sure I know exactly what text, course, or assignment we're working on so we can use our time efficiently. My goal is never just to get you through the assignment — it's to leave you actually understanding something you didn't before.
