In that role I taught students in grades 6–8, covering subjects from pre-algebra through algebra and geometry foundations. Those years gave me valuable insight into how students learn math, where they typically struggle, and how to explain concepts in multiple ways until they “click.”
My classroom experience taught me the importance of patience and adaptability. Every student approaches math differently, so I use a step-by-step approach that starts with diagnosing gaps in understanding and then building confidence through clear explanations and guided practice. I often incorporate visual methods, real-world examples, and problem-solving strategies that help students connect math to everyday life. Parents frequently shared that their children not only improved their grades but also felt less anxious about math after working with me.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have provided one-on-one support for middle and high school students, including help with homework, test preparation, and standardized exams such as the SAT and ACT. My strength lies in breaking down abstract ideas into manageable parts and encouraging students to ask questions without fear of judgment. Whether online or in-person, my goal is always the same: to make math approachable, to help students master the skills they need now, and to prepare them with the confidence to succeed in future courses.
