I also earned an MA in InterCultural Studies in Seminary in SC, where I met my wife. We moved to Central Asia (Tajikistan, former USSR) from 2002 to 2013 where we raised our 3 kids & were involved in Christian missions among Muslim college students. I was a university professor for 4 years at the Technological University of Tajikistan where I taught English, American history & world history. I was also involved in community development in that poorest of the 15 former Soviet Republics. We hosted an English Club & Bible study in our home for 9 years, which was a major part of our ministry. We loved our time there & made many life-long friends but needed to move back to USA when our oldest started high school.
I have worked among Afghan refugees here in Atlanta the past 10 years in many ways, including teaching English, tutoring, teaching Bible to young pastors, and serving as pastor & social worker. I am comfortable tutoring & teaching in Math (up through Calculus), Chemistry, Physics, Bible (Old Testament & New Testament), American History, World History, Reading, Swimming, English (grammar, composition, comprehension)... I love to play chess, watch good action films & make my kids laugh.
