Hello everyone! My name is Tanmaya, and I am currently in my last professional year as a PharmD candidate in the six-year program at Rutgers University-Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy. My future career goals are to work in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in medical affairs. Throughout my years in pharmacy school, I have been recognized on the Dean's list and have played a mentorship role to younger students transitioning into pharmacy school. I have helped these students with their clinical pharmacy coursework as well as any undergraduate general classes such as chemistry, calculus, and biology. In addition, I have also tutored younger students in algebra, geometry, and SAT prep coursework.
I am also heavily involved in the pharmacy program. Along with being a student mentor, I also hold leadership roles Pediatric Pharmacy Association and American Pharmacist Association Student Chapter. Leading these organizations has helped me become organized in bringing people together toward a common objective.
As a tutor, I want my students to focus on asking students open-ended questions and understanding the purpose behind each step. This allows the student to recall the information better and apply to future learning. I provide students with practice worksheets and easy-to-read study guides to enhance their learning process. I hope to make my students become more independent and confident in their courses. I have taken over 10 AP courses in high school, receiving 4s and 5s on all courses, some of which include AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB and BC. I have also gotten a 1450 on my SAT, with a 790 on the math portion of the exam. I have worked on finding tips and tricks for standardized tests like the SAT and improved other students score by 50-100 points. I am confident I can provide an efficient and interactive learning process for all students
