My name is Nadine and I am an elementary teacher in the Metro Atlanta area. I have been teaching for over 10 years. I have a degree in psychology, elementary education, and leadership k- 12. I began my teaching career in the state of New York, which is also where I was born and raised. I have taught grades three through sixth, and currently I am an ESOL teacher working with students in grades Kindergarten through the fifth grade. In addition to being a teacher I love to read, travel and spend time with my family.
I love being a teacher because I love knowing that my students will succeed. I believe that everyone can learn. It is my job to help facilitate the learning process. I like to use different strategies to teach, because learners learn differently. I like to teach using games, manipulative or props, movement, and music. My goal when I teach and or tutor is to make the learning process engaging, challenging, and continuous.

I am a great elementary math teacher because my math classes are experiences that comes alive. I have completed many professional training which have taught me how to use effective strategies in the classroom in order to maximize the learning experience. An example of a creative lesson in my room include the time when I was teaching my students all about place value. I decided to turn my room into a gym and students had to hop and skip around to various numbers or there places to either decrease the number’s value or increase it. I also had a hand game in which my students were able to learn and use to remember the value names.

I am an outstanding reading teacher because I have had many years at putting into practice reading based strategies to build students' vocabulary, word recognition, and fluency. I know that reading is such an important skill and I can use many strategies to help build reading stamina. For example one of the simplest strategies would be to let my student or students pick a book of their interest, by allowing students to read on topics they are interest
