Selected to be part of the Star Group he has trained attorneys in the guidelines to expert public speaking. He is also a featured speaker aboard luxury ships and tutored political figure during campaigns. He has served as an expert on winning legal teams as well as preparing witnesses for trial testimony. Chip believes there are two must have life skills in order to be successful: public speaking and confidence.

I have now successfully tutored 4 students in these areas for the FTCE Teat. I also studied for and successfully took the Teachers Exam which included the Social Studies component. In seeking my degrees I have taken multiple courses in these areas through out the years.

I have for more than 6 years been teaching study and testing skills at the University level. I teach this to freshman in a group environment at FAU as needed. I completed successfully, at University of Miami, a course on the teaching skills and methods for both study and testing skills. Many of our university students come to the college classroom with poor time management and study skills, struggling for even a "C". I have tutored students in private sessions resulting in a 1-2 grade increase. Although there is not a one skill list fits all, with individual adjustments to there approach everyone can increase their grades. Using these essential methods, when applied correctly, improve subject material comprehension resulting in improved grades. Beyond the basic when and where factors, there is a deeper level of reading and listening comprehension. Often a student hears the lecture in class and read the word in the text but fails to listen or understand the concept or statements. With practiced study skills, student frustration diminishes resulting in better comprehension and retention. Good study skills are often ignored until poor grade become a factor but it is a problem which can improve with guidance, implementation and practice.

I am an RN with my PhD who has been teaching Nursing related qualifying tests such as NCLEX, HESI and TEAS for more than 10 years. I am currently tutoring a students in several types of tests to qualify for nursing schools. I am proficient in all areas of the exam which include English, Reading Comprehension, Math, A&P, Physics and Chemistry. My students do very well in these exams. As a University professor for more than 15 years my teaching experience and skills add to the quality of the tutor experience and test results.

Dr. D is a very understanding and patient tutor that helped me reach the benchmark for the Exit HESI. I felt as I wasn't successful with the resources that were offered through my University and thankfully found Dr. D with Wyzant. He worked with me for numerous sessions to pass my Exit HESI exam.
