I’m a patient, adaptable tutor with over a decade of experience helping students understand challenging subjects by breaking them down clearly, calmly, and creatively. I specialize in math, computer science, coding (Python, JavaScript, Angular concepts, debugging), English composition, U.S. history, general science, and chess. My teaching style is supportive and conversational — I focus on building real understanding instead of memorization, helping students develop confidence in their own thinking.
As a long-time chess coach and curriculum developer for Kid Chess in Atlanta, I’ve taught hundreds of students from ages 5 to adult. I’m experienced in explaining strategy, analyzing games, and strengthening tactical awareness in a way that’s fun, intuitive, and tailored to each student’s level.
In academics and technical subjects, I excel at simplifying complex ideas, identifying gaps in understanding, and offering practical examples that make topics “click.” Whether a student is struggling with algebra, learning to program, writing essays, or wanting to improve in chess, I bring patience, structure, and enthusiasm to every lesson.
I believe students learn best when they feel supported, not judged. My goal is to meet learners where they are, build from their strengths, and help them discover just how capable they really are.
If you’re looking for a tutor who is kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in your success, I’d love to work with you.
