A strong believer in practice, I provide my students with a countless number of examples and extra problems to help them master skills. As an avid collector of mathematics texts, I have over 600 books to choose from when researching what my students need. One of the primary objectives of my tutoring service is to help students increase their problem solving ability. Working together, we reduce the complexity of problems in a three step process: (1) identify the given information, (2) paraphrase the question, (3) write out a solution via theorem, formula or diagram.

My qualifications include: B.S. in Mathematics, M.A. in Mathematics, and an M.S. in Applied Statistics. I hold a grades 6-12 certification in the state of Georgia and have won awards at data science and analytics competitions. My former teaching experience includes 2 years as an adjunct professor, plus 8 years as a high math school teacher (four years in private school, four years in public school). I am eager to share my knowledge and experience and look forward to working with you!

Amazing tutoring experience

I cannot recommend Robin highly enough for anyone struggling with the quantitative sections of the GRE or math in general. From the first session, it was clear that his mastery of mathematics is exceptional, possessing the rare ability to solve complex problems swiftly and elucidate their solutions with remarkable clarity. What truly sets Robin apart, though, is his genuine commitment to helping students excel. He approached my learning challenges with patience, tailoring explanations in ways that resonated with my individual learning style. Robin's encouragement and belief in my potential has transformed my outlook on math, turning daunting topics into manageable, even enjoyable puzzles to solve. Thanks to Robin's guidance, I'm feeling increasingly confident in my ability to reach my desired test score, but more importantly, I've gained confidence in my ability to think analytically.

Dynamic Instructor, knows how to teach!

Robin is an excellent tutor. He assigns pre-work, efficiently covers any unclear points, and launches into the new lesson. He uses the time extremely well. He is always well-prepared and frames the lesson so the student knows the big picture. Then, he dives in and dynamically explains the material. His enthusiasm, subject matter knowledge, and ability to teach are easily apparent to the student.

Detailed explanations

I have a hard time understanding Calculus but Robin broke it down into smaller steps and made it easier to understand. He was able to teach me topics in one hour that my professors couldn’t in several months. I feel more prepared going into my finals now.

more than a great teacher!

Robin is more that a great teacher he is mentor. Our daughter just completed her junior year. She has always been very strong academically but she felt overwhelmed with the 4 AP courses she was taking this year. Although she was hesitant about getting any help outside school, by the third session she was convinced that Robin may actually help. With his focused approach and cattered schedule he was able to develop a trusting relationship with his student. Although we reached out to him for calculus, he helped with her SAT preparation as well (With barely a month of hands on coaching she scored in the 1400 s). Since November 2023, when she started with Robin, until before the finals in May 2024, was all it took to get a 5 on her Calculus AB. Impressively enough her positive mindset thanks t
