She "got" my daughter!
My daughter has been struggling with ADHD for years. Aside from the "typical" ADHD treatments and counseling she's been talking with folks who attempt to help with organizational and time management skills, but it's never been successful. My daughter knows what she needs to do, but she didn't know how to START to do it. Joy is working on THAT piece of the puzzle. She is also familiar with 504 Plans and navigating some of the school administrative red tape surrounding helping kids with ADHD that don't necessarily need an IEP, but do need help changing up how they complete homework and/or tests in order to be successful in school. Lastly, because of where we live and where Joy is located, there is a two hour time difference. Joy is working with us to accommodate that time difference.
